Introducing Legal Delta 9 Gummies!

Legal Delta 9 THC Gummies are Here!

If you pay attention to my blog posts and Loco Ocho Diary, you noticed that I haven’t written anything in a long time. I had an accident that physically and mentally screwed me up. I was practicing my golf swing by hitting balls into a Maxfli practice net when I hit a ball thin, it hit the net’s frame and ricocheted into my left eye. I was using a 4-iron, so it was a high velocity shot. It was horrible. I had to go to the hospital. I was blind in my left eye for about 3 weeks and I still can’t see well with my left eye. This happened on Monday, March 28th about 8:30 pm. I’m doing a lot better, but I still have a long journey ahead adjusting to my new normal. I’ll talk more about my accident and how ‘hemp’ has helped for glaucoma in a Loco Ocho Diary entry. The purpose of this article is to introduce our new Farm Bill compliant, legal, 10mg Delta 9 Gummies.

The 2018 U.S. Farm Bill is very clearly defines legal hemp and legal hemp products. It states, “The term `hemp’ means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.”

Our new Delta 9 THC gummies are made from legally grown hemp and are .2% Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannabinol, which makes them legal in all 50 states. Here’s some quick math showing how Better Than Nine’s Legal Delta 9 Gummies are Farm Bill compliant.

Each gummy weighs at least 5 grams (that’s 5000mg). Each gummy has ~10mg Delta-9 THC. 10 / 5000 = .002. Now convert this to a percentage, .002 * 100 = .2%. There you have it! In fact, these gummies could have a few more milligrams of D9 THC and still be legal. However, I’d rather be safe and stay far away from .3% because if you go over the ‘magic’ number of .3% D9 THC, you aren’t selling legal hemp products anymore. You are selling felony marijuana products (in states that have draconian cannabis laws like Georgia).

In addition to the 10mg of D9 each gummy has, each one also contains 100mg of CBD and smaller amounts of other important cannabinoids. All of this is very cool, BUT the feature of these gummies that excites me the most is the 17mg of CBC (Cannabichromene) per piece. Current hemp plant genetics don’t produce a lot of cannabichromene (CBC), usually less than 1% which makes this molecule rare and expensive. There is not a lot of information available about CBC because it is a ‘newer’ cannabinoid. I put newer in quotes because CBC is as old as THC, CBC, and cannabis, which is super old. However, scientists only have had access to enough CBC to conduct legitimate research for a year or so. CBC is non-psychoactive and has a lot of health and medicinal benefits. Unfortunately, I can’t discuss them because I can’t make medical claims on BetterThanNine.com. Here’s a link to the results of a Google search for ‘cannabichromene benefits’.

These 10mg D9 gummies are for real strong. I’ve been taking D8 and D10 gummies for so long that I forgot how different D9 is. Oftentimes, you read that D8 is about 70% as strong as D9. I cringe when I hear these comparisons because they are 1-dimensional depending on how the writer defines “strength.” In our industry, “strength” means dissociative psychoactivity. Since it had probably been over a year since I ate a D9 gummy, I can attest to this 70% number. The first time I ate one of these 10mg Delta 9 gummies, I was lost in space for over an hour. I think that D8, D9, and D10 all absorb into and affect your body equally at a molecular level. The D9 definitely changes your perception of time and reality the most of the three.

Personally, the 10mg D9 gummies are too strong for me right now. They have caused me to have panic attacks. However, I don’t want this to discourage anyone from trying them unless you know that D9 causes you anxiety. I’m normally good to take 10mg of D9, but I’m currently coming to grips with the fact that I’ll probably never be able to see well out of my left eye and the D9 has been sending me to a bad place. D9 doesn’t do this to everyone. To a lot of people, it does the opposite and lowers their anxiety. The human brain is an amazingly complicated ball of goo.

It’s time to make a little fun of me now…

I spent a lot of time coming up with the name of this company. I’m pretty sure that one of the first blogs on this site discusses how I landed on the name, “Better Than Nine.” It was almost a knock on Delta 9 THC. Now, we’re selling Delta 9 THC. Oops, I guess I wasn’t planning for the future.

So, how do I square up having a company called “Better Than Nine” that is selling nine? Am I saying that some products are better than others or that some products are bad? Am I going to change the company name?

Of course I’m not saying that and I’m not changing the company name because I’m very good at justifying things and playing with semantics.

For me, D8 is still better than D9 because it doesn’t cause me to get anxiety. One of my best friends like D10 more than D8 and D9. All of the stoners I know like D9 more than D8 and D10.

This is really about what works for each on of you. That’s why we offer products with all the major cannabinoids in doses that are small enough for everyone to find what’s best for them. You may find that D10 is good for the daytime and D9 is good for bedtime. You may find that 10mg of D8 and 10mg of D10 is just right for you. I have formulated Better Than Nine’s products so that there is something for everyone.

If you haven’t tried Better Than Nine’s products yet, I encourage you do. When you factor in taste, dosing accuracy, consistency, customer service, and price/mg, Better Than Nine is Better Than the Competition.
