Blue City Diesel Cannabis Strain Info

This is about a new batch of Blue City Diesel we got on June 15, 2024. The smell, appearance, and potency are all different from the first batch we got. Oftentimes, harvests of the same strain can be different. This doesn’t usually happen when you get product from the same grower, using the same genetics, using the same growing conditions. However, the same strain usually will be different if you get it from different farms. This comes down genotypes, phenotypes, and growing conditions, which would be a good blog post one day.

Genetics: Balanced hybrid cross of Blueberry and NYC Diesel. This is another one that is the offspring of 2 legendary, award-winning strains.

Appearance: Big, dense buds. Light green like NYC diesel, with splashes of purple throughout.

Smell: This smells more like Blueberry than Diesel. It’s very fresh and fruity.

Taste: This blue city diesel tastes more citrusy and fruity than the first batch

Daniel’s 1-hit Review: I was surprised at how different this Blue City Diesel is than the other batch we have. The first thing I noticed was that it is not dark green, blue, and purple. Instead, it’s bright green and light purple. It looks like it took after in NYC Diesel mom in appearance. She smells like her Blueberry dad – so fruity and lively. She got her daddy’s money and her momma’s good looks and after you smoke her you’ll have more laughs than a stack of comic books. Remember that old country song?

This Blue City Diesel feels more like a sativa than the other phenotype that we have. I can’t tell if this is due to the plant’s genetics or the 10% difference in THCA. A 3-4% difference in THCA isn’t that perceptible, but 10% is significant. My guess is it’s a combination of both. If they both looked and smelled the same, I’d say it was the THC content, but this batch looks more like a sativa to me.

If you’re looking for a head cracker, get the other version of Blue City Diesel. However, if you want a sativa like effect that smells and tastes great that you can use during the daytime, get this BCD.
