Genetics: Hybrid. Runtz = Gelato x Zkittles. Yall should know this by now. Pink is simply a pheno.

Appearance: Dense, medium-sized buds that light up with bright greens and dark purples that go nearly to black. Frosty, of course.

Smell: Sweet, candy, fruity, and floral. I love the smell of all these candy strains.

Taste: Citrusy, sweet, sour.

Daniel’s 1-hit Review: This review isn’t going to be profound because we’ve had so many good Runtz this year that I’m desensitized to how good they are.

The good news is that the bar is very high, so when I say these are like the Candy Runtz or Original Z, I’m saying they are fantastic. I don’t think I’ve had Pink Runtz before. We’ve had purple runtz, rainbow runtz, white runtz, gummy runtz, candy runtz, and runtz, but never pink. This is starting to sound like one of those stupid kids toys that says, “Collect them all!”

I hate to sound old and cynical, but Runtz, Gelato, Zkittles strains are basically the same genetics. The variations come from different phenotypes that express some type of new or different trait. This generally comes down to terpenes for our purposes. Terpenes affect the smells and effects.

We have a few types of gelatos and runtz right now. If you put them all next to each other, you do see, smell, and feel different things from them. It is subtle, but it’s noticeable. The differences are mostly colors and smells. The thing I notice more than you’d think are the trichome colors. They go from white to shades of amber. This can be a result of genetics, but more often, when they are harvested. The whiter, the earlier because trichomes amber as the plant matures.

While I’m sitting here halfway saying that these strains are repetitive, I think it’s a good thing because they are so good. They have everything that you look for in great flowers – smells, colors, crystals, smokability, effects, everything. The effects are consistent and perfectly hybrid.

I guess this is why they are so popular. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

These Pink Runtz are everything I’ve been saying. The effect are dictionary definition of ‘hybrid.’ I’m right in the middle – not too up and not too down – just rolling. I took a ‘smallish’ 1-hit because I have a lot to do and didn’t want to risk a ‘oops. I didn’t finish my work and tomorrow is gonna suck.’

If you like great hybrids like our LCG, Candy Runtz, or Original Z, You will love these. They are top shelf and I can’t find anything to nitpick about them.
