Appearance: Fat chunkers that are light green and purple. Looks dipped in trichomes.

Smell: Super sweet sugary grape candy. Smells like the last ones, but louder and grapier.

Taste: Sweet grape candy.

9/14/25 Batch: This is the 2nd or 3rd batch of indoor Candy Runtz we’ve gotten and I think it’s the best so far. I can’t tell if the effects are the same or better because it’s been a while since I had the last ones. But, the bud structure, moisture content and overall appearance is the best we’ve gotten for Candy Runtz.

Today is Monday. I did my one hit of this yesterday, so this is a retelling. We were super low on flowers due to various random delays, so I kept ordering from my plugs and everything came in all at once (of course). This is a good thing, but there is a lot of work in getting these strains ready for yall to buy. I have to build each product page, do the pricing for the size variations, examine the flower closely to do the appearance, smell, taste, etc., I have to smoke them, write reviews, take photos and get them to the pages, then do an email campaign to let yall know. I’m not complaining because I like my job, but it is a lot work.

Back to the Candy Runtz. The difference between these and the last batch is the smell and appearance. The buds are much bigger than the last batch. They also have better moisture content. The last batch had an oz or so of shake. From what I can see, this batch may have only have 5 or 6 grams of shake. The smell on this batch has all the candy smells you expect, but also, a very distinct grape kool aid smell. To me, artificial grape flavor doesn’t smell or taste anything like a grape, but I really like it.

My plan was to take a break from work, take my 1 hit, and go hit some golf balls. I took my hit and went to the golf center. It was crowded, but not too crowed. It was hot, but not too hot. But, it was crowded and hot enough to make me think about both things. I sat in my truck and stared at the people and thought, “Ugh. You where isn’t hot and crowded? My office where I have like 9-11 more hours of work to do to get these buds going.” So I went back to my office and got back to work.

I don’t know how to connect that to the Candy Runtz effects. The first thing I noticed about them is the effects came on very fast and very hard. I took my hit and got into the car without any shoes. Forgetting to wear shoes or shirt isn’t a sign of impairment if the weather is nice (for me), but it was this time because I was going to a place that requires specific shoes.  As soon as I left, I started thinking that I should stay and finish my work instead of playing.

These Runtz are strong because I’m fuzzy on the details and it was only 23 hours ago that this happened. The effects are hybrid because I was all over the place. Maybe a little more sativa because I was indecisive due to overthinking and racing thoughts. I was calm and happy, without bad anxiety.

My anxiety was, “You should finish your work before going outside and playing.” I don’t mind the ‘mom anxiety’ that’s simply holding me accountable to do the right thing. I HATE the irrational anxiety of “OMG. I think I’m forgetting to breath and I’m gonna die.” That type of freak out is more an edible thing.

I’ve become a big fan of these candy strains. I really like this batch of Candy Runtz.

July 29, 2025 Batch: I’m really loving these ‘candy’ indicas. Before they existed, the only strains that had those fruity, candy smells and tastes seemed to be sativa. I loved the smell and taste, so I’d over indulge and then the sativa would give me anxiety attacks.

These new candy indicas, like this Candy Runtz, has solved that problem. It smells and tastes like sweet candy and has the good parts of the sativa, but it has this indica that keeps by thoughts from going to fast and getting off the rails. They may be perfect (for me). Everyone has a different ‘perfect’ strain. These Candy Runtz smell and taste so good. If you liked the Original Z we just had, this is a must get.

I’d put this as a must get for everyone because it has perfect hybrid effects.

These Candy Runtz hit fast and strong. I just took a 30 minute break on accident. I went to get some water, lost track of what I was doing, and just realized I left this review incomplete. I don’t want to say this is mellow because I am pretty spaced out, but I’m in control. I can feel both the sativa and indica in this one.
