Daniel’s 1-hit Review: First things first – This Sensi Star came from the Cap Junky grower. If you have had the Cap Junky, then you’re probably already adding this to your cart because you know it’s been done perfectly.

I’ve been SO excited to get this Sensi Star since he told me it was coming. As a 46 year old, I remember when Sensi Star was winning Cannabis Cups. I thought it only won one, but I found out it won 2 – 1999 and 2004. Sensi Star ruled the 2000s like Britney Spears. The difference is that it aged a lot better than that poor girl.

Sensi Star was bred by Paradise Seeds in the early 1990’s. I think their goal was to make the perfect Indica and they did. The first thing your eyes notice is that these buds are completely covered with trichomes to the point that they look white.

The next thing that you’ll notice or not notice is the smell. Cannabis veterans will remember this smell as “Oh shit. This is gonna be awesome.” Younger and/or newer enthusiasts may think, “Hmmm. It’s not that loud.” or “It’s not candy.” This is the difference between 30 year old genetics and what breeding and technology has done since then.

What’s funny about this is the grower was ranting about how ‘everyone wants candy’ and no one knows WTF they’re talking about and what real, high quality cannabis is. I understand his frustration to a point because I hear some really stupid things from people.

One of the stupidest is, “Do you have anything over 30% THCA? I only use 30%+ because anything lower isn’t strong enough to do anything to me.” This statement reveals I’m talking to someone who’s a idiot at several things.

They don’t understand how percentages work, they don’t understand decarboxylation, they don’t understand that the other cannabinoids and terpenes do a bunch, and these are just the things I can think of off the top of my head after one hit of Sensi Star. But, as someone once said, “You can’t fix stupid.”

This Sensi Star is everything I expect from this farm. It looks like the pictures of Sensi Star on Paradise Seeds website. That shows you it is grown perfectly. This is like the Beatles of Indica. Without it, we wouldn’t have any of the new great strains.

It grinds beautifully and grinding up the dense buds is when you get the smell to come out. It’s outstanding. This is a day ending Indica that doesn’t take prisoners. Great for aches and pains and sleep.

If you’re old school, you’ll recognize this. If you’re new school, you need to get this ‘vintage’ flower to see the origin story of all the great kush strains.

I feel great. I could ramble on about how cool this is, but I’ll just leave it at “This is a perfect grow of a 2-time cannabis cup winning strain.”
