Genetics: Candy Gelato is hybrid strain. I’m finding conflicting genetics. The 2 common (and believable) are Gelato x Runtz or Blue Oreos x Cotton Candy Gelato

Appearance: Bigger, squishy buds with all the colors – greens, purples, oranges, yellows and LOADED with white trichomes.

Smell: Sweet, fruity, berry, candy

Taste: Sweet candy

You know that saying “the grass is always greener…”?

That’s how I feel about Candy Gelato. 6 months ago, I was so bored of ‘candy’ strains and ‘gelato’ strains, that I would’ve rolled my eyes at ‘Candy Gelato’ because it was was over played and cliche, like Taylor Swift. However, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Geez, I’m a cliche machine this morning. I wonder if a live review of Candy Gelato would have made me more or less imaginative.

The point of I’m making is there’s a reason that ‘candy’ and ‘gelatos’ have flooded the market the last few years. Because they’re awesome. Idk if this batch is better than the last ones or it’s just been long enough for me to miss the ‘candy’ strains. You don’t know what you got til it’s gone. (That’s 3. Now, I’m just gonna see how many I can fit in this one. That’s was she said. Is that 4?)

Oh shit. It’s gonna be one these days. I’m glad I haven’t smoked because I’m already in a silly mood today. It’s amazing what 7 hours of good sleep can do for you.

This is a fantastic batch of Candy Gelato. It is good across the board. Balanced, versatile hybrid that you can use for anything. Do a little, get a little boost and clarity. Do a lot, and do nothing. Hits both your head and body about evenly. I’m going to stop bashing the gelato, runtz, zkittles strains. I’ve never ‘bashed’ them. I just get bored of the lack of variety because they’re all essentially the same foundational strain. It’s like pizza or a cheeseburger. I can always enjoy good pizza or burger when I don’t know what I want to eat.

I think these ‘candy’ strains are the flower equivalent of comfort food. They smell good to everyone. They work for both indica and sativa people. They look awesome. They taste to everyone. Yeah. They are comfort strains. OOOH. Like mac n cheese. I love good mac n cheese. Also, BBQ. And high end chicken fingers like at Brookwood Grill. I also really like chicken salad sandwiches. Fried eggs with cheese are also a good, easy, fast and healthy snack. Good fish n chips with a home made tartar sauce kicks ass, too. I can eat a lot of biscuits with white sausage gravy if I’m at a breakfast or brunch place. Dude, not being overweight takes such an incredible amount of discipline and sacrifice because all this stuff is so good, but you can’t eat it more than once/week if you want abs.

I like fantasizing about all this food. We had Shake Shack last night and it was so f ing good. I can’t decide if I like Shack Shack or NFA Burger more. They are so different even though they are both smash burgers. Now, I want to hit this candy gelato and go get biscuits n gravy at Maple Street Biscuit Company. That place makes heart disease taste like a good idea. So good.
