Genetics: Perfect Hybrid cross of Blueberry and Super Silver Haze

Appearance: Bright green buds with orange pistols and sticky, clear trichomes. Well grown and well developed structure.

Smell: Blue Dream has a distinct smell that is fruity sweet mixed with the sharpness of Haze.

Taste: The taste of this batch is sweet and clean. I taste the haze more than the Blueberry.

Daniel’s 1-hit Review: I’m SUPER excited about this Blue Dream for a few reasons. First off, it’s a perfect hybrid cross of two legendary, old school strains – Blueberry and Silver Haze. Well, get into that more later.

The main reason I’m excited about this is because this comes from a new farmer – new to Better Than Nine, not new to growing. He has 15 years of ‘hemp’ growing experience with a degree in horticulture from UGA. Go Dawgs!

His grow is all organic. He uses Botanicare’s organic line of nutrients in Fox Farm’s Happy Frog soil. He has supplemental CO2, so these plants are babied and happy. These are the first THCA flowers from his garden that we’ve gotten, but they will certainly not be the last!

Back to Blue Dream.

Blue Dream was one the most popular strains there was about 15 years ago. Blue Dream’s popularity stemmed from it’s effects being enjoyed by nearly everyone, it’s versatility, and it being fairly easy to grow with high yields. It’s about perfect for everyone. Unfortunately, this popularity led it get played out and people get bored of it because it’s the only thing that’s around. That happens when strains are just too good i.e. cookies, sour diesel, trainwreck, gelato, zkittles, runtz, etc.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder because when I heard there was expert grown, indoor Blue Dream available, I jumped on the opportunity to add it our menu.

Blue Dream is a perfect hybrid. This batch seems to lean more on her sativa haze genetics. The smell, taste, and effects are a tad bit more sativa. My guess is a combination of this phenotype and the earlier harvest clear trichomes. Plants tend to be more sativa when the trichomes are clear and get more indica feeling when they go longer and the trichomes amber up a bit.

The effects are exactly what you’d expect from a true hybrid – very clear, very functional, and very versatile. It’s almost like I don’t feel it, but this is not an indictment on its potency. It’s a compliment and testament to why I call it a ‘perfect hybrid.’

I feel so clear, connected, and positive. I’m not overwhelmed with thoughts racing, nor am I slow and lazy. I’m enhanced, but still responsible and motivated to work. In fact, I’m in such a work groove, that I’m focused enough to know that I need to wrap this up and keep working instead of spending another hour rambling about some nonsense that pops into my head. I’ll save the goofy stuff for the video review that I plan on doing tonight.

Blue Dream should be a staple in everyone’s stash. It’s a great all rounder. As of now, it’s my ‘go to’ daytime strain.

Here’s the cool part. The Delta 9 THCa can be over 30%. This is not chemically altered or sprayed with anything. These are legit cannabis buds that are harvested before the D9 THC gets ‘hot’ (over .3%). Delta 9 THC and Delta 9 THCa are very similar compounds. In fact, THCa is a precursor to THC. However, they are 100% different, so the Farm Bill counts this as hemp.
