Genetics: Blueberry Gold is a hybrid cross of Blueberry x Colombian Gold.

Appearance: Dense, sticky buds with all shades of green and random purple speckles. Sticky clear trichomes. Looks way more like Blueberry than a South American Sativa.

Smell: Sugary and blueberry with a hint of citrus. I smell the Blueberry more.

Taste: Sweet Blueberry

Terpene Profile: Myrcene, Limonene, Caryophyllene.

Blueberry Gold has 2 legendary parents – Blueberry and Colombian Gold. Blueberry is an indica. Colombian Gold is a South American land race sativa. Put them together and you have a fantastic hybrid.

This batch shows the Blueberry genetics more than the Colombian sativa. The buds look and smell so much like Blueberry, that I would have believed it was Blueberry…until I tried it. That’s when the sativa genetics showed up.

Blueberry Gold looks and smells like and indica, but the effects are more sativa. I even had a bit of anxiety. Now, before we go blaming the sativa, I need to explain that the mini freak out I had was more my fault than Blueberry Gold’s.

I have a lot of very strict rules about being responsible and smart. Even though all of these flowers are Federal legal, they still have psychoactive potential, and more importantly, law enforcement can incorrectly assume they are marijuana and arrest you for them or give you a DUI, etc. Just a bunch of shit that isn’t worth dealing with.

Some of these rules are:

• Don’t drive with unsealed product that smells.
• Don’t speed, text, run yellow lights or do other stupid shit if I’m driving with product.
• DEFINITELY DON’T SMOKE IN THE CAR. God, people who still smoke in their cars are retards. Sorry, if that offends you, but don’t be so fuckin stupid. This is the kinda shit they use to keep this illegal. And please don’t do the “it’s better than drinking and driving blah blah blah…” This is a losing argument, so just be a responsible adult. Seriously.

So, while I’m lecturing you about being smart, I got a bit sloppy. I had been reorganizing inventory working with flowers for like 2 hours. I wasn’t smoking, but if you’re elbow deep in flower, you smell like it. I got done with my ‘work’ work and a friend called about having lunch and grabbing a few 28s. I had taken my one hit of Blueberry Gold to review about 20 minutes before this. I was feeling good, so I said, “Sure. I can be there in 20 minutes.”

I only had to go about 3 miles on roads with 35 mph speed limit, so I could have driven a golf cart. Low risk, right?

I’m heading to a stop light that is red. I’m just coasting because I knew it was going to go green before I got it it. I had about 300 meters. This was a 2 lane road and I saw a black SUV with black out windows, brush guard, etc. It was a cop. The light turned green, I kept coasting, the cop didn’t go at green. He sat there, stopped, at a green light for 20-30 seconds – just long enough for me to get in front of him.

As I cruised past him, I also saw he was K9. Cool.

Now, if I had been following my rules. I would have thought the obvious. He’s stopped at green because he’s playing on his phone or computer and not paying attention. BUT, I had Blueberry Gold in my brain and my hands and arms stunk like flowers, so instead, I thought “He was waiting for me to pass. Should I open my windows to air myself out or will the dog smell me?

I set the cruise control for 1 mph over the speed limit and reminded myself that this was just a coincidence, stop freaking myself out, and don’t do stupid shit.

I ended up taking the next right and he was going straight, so it was literally nothing. However, it was a good reminder that you always need to make smart decisions when you’re doing things. You never know what can happen when you’re out and about.

Even if you’re not doing anything wrong and some dipshit rear ends you because they are texting. You can get in trouble if your car smells some type of way.

I didn’t mean for this to turn into a PSA, but it’s never bad to get reminders. All it takes is one ‘oopsy’ to cause a lot of problems that weren’t worth whatever lazy or sloppy behavior that caused it.

I barely talked about the Blueberry Gold. The smell and taste is more Blueberry. They effects are strong hybrid. I’ve gone back a few times and find this one is very chatty and analytical.

I would say it’s an ‘anytime’ strain with dose dependent being crucial because it’s strong.
