Granddaddy Purple or GDP Cannabis Strain Info

Genetics: Indica cross of Mendocino Purps, Afghani, and Skunk

Appearance: Tight, dense buds that are bright green and dark purple and covered with orange hairs and sparkly trichomes

Smell: A little earthy, a little skunky, a little berry, and a little coffee

Taste: This tastes like GDP to me. That means skunky with a berry or artificial grape undertone.

The legend is here! Granddaddy Purple, aka GDP, aka Granddaddy Purp, aka one of my favorite strains. I even have a Leafly GDP t-shirt. I’m clearly biased because I love this strain. It has everything to me – it looks awesome, it smells awesome, it tastes awesome, and it seems that you can smoke as much as you want without getting panic attacks (which happens to me if I smoke a lot of most strains). This is a great batch of GDP, too. It looks a lot like the super expensive “Ken’s GDP” that you can occasionally find in NorCal dispensaries for like $350/oz.

I’ve smoked this one way more than just my 1 hit because I love it. I’m still a sucker for purple flowers, so that’s part of it. However, I really like the physical and mental relaxation that a pure indica like GDP provides. Small puffs are good for the daytime and you can really put it in the air in the evening. I love when my living room stinks like GDP and we can cheeseburgers and watch movies. FYI – I LOVE cheeseburgers. I’d eat cheeseburgers 5 nights/week if they were healthy. I’m really digging Shake Shack’s double Shack Burger. I don’t even get the bacon or anything extra. Just 2 beef patties, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and ketchup I think. Just an All American Cheeseburger.

I’d recommend this GDP to everyone – even if you’re an indica person because it’ll be an excellent bedtime strain. Everything about is good. I would go smoke more right now, but I have to do another strain because there are still 4 more strains I’d like to get published today.

Get the GDP before it goes away. I only started with an HP and I expect it to go fast once yall start getting it.

Here’s the cool part. The Delta 9 THCa can be over 30%. This is not chemically altered or sprayed with anything. These are legit cannabis buds that are harvested before the D9 THC gets ‘hot’ (over .3%). Delta 9 THC and Delta 9 THCa are very similar compounds. In fact, THCa is a precursor to THC. However, they are 100% different, so the Farm Bill counts this as hemp.
