Genetics: Indica leaning cross of Kush Mintz, Durban Poison, and Gushers

Appearance: Dense, dark green nugs that all look like little coniferous trees. Gush Mintz flowers have every shade of green with dark purple tips. They are coated in a solid layer of sparkling trichomes that stick to everything you touch. This batch of Gush Mintz has good visual aesthetics.

Smell: Gush Mintz dominant piney and gassy smell is a nod to it’s indica heritage, but there are also some sweet, fruity undertones from the Durban that shine through.

Taste: This tastes like kush to me – that piney flavor that just stays in your mouth for hours. It tastes a lot like it smells, which is something I like (when it smells good – duh). It’s a bit harsh because it’s so fresh, but that will tone down by the time you get it because we cure everything while it’s in inventory. We don’t pre weigh and bag any flower, so nothing dries out or loses anything.

Daniel’s 1-hit Review: These Gush Mintz came in with the Donny Burger and Orange Creamsicle. This was a fun order because all 3 strains were new to us and it’s extra exciting when I get to review brand new strains. The first thing I noticed with the Gush Mintz is how cool the buds looked. They are all the same shape and color. The uniformity was very cool. I get a good look at the entire pound because I dump in all into a big bowl to weigh and photograph it. Sometimes, I have to look for some ‘photogenic’ buds for the website, but not with Gush Mintz. All the buds look really good. The next thing I noticed was it’s nice smell. At first, it smells like an indica kush, but then the fruity sativa smells come out when you grind it.

Like the Donny Burger and Orange Creamsicle, the Gush Mintz is nice and soft. It isn’t fluffy or leafy from not having enough light. It grinds down evenly and it has the right moisture content, so it great for rolling. Because of the ideal moisture content and sticky trichomes, it burns slowly and evenly with a thick white smoke. It tastes like kush – piney and hashy. I thought the smoke would be harsh, but it turned out to be smoother than I expected. The effects are true to its indica dominant hybrid genetics and I’m navigating them in real time because I did my 1 hit about 15 minutes ago. It’s very spacy and stony. Right now, I would say it isn’t good for doing work because I’m having a difficult time staying focused and writing this. I think I’ve written and rewritten the last few sentences at least 5x each. Full disclosure – it’s 7:12pm on a busy Monday, so I started this tired, but Gush Mintz finished me off. This one creeps up on you and comes in waves because I’m sitting here in a daze. It’s 7:19 now, so it took me 7 minutes to write the last 2 sentences. Although this has that Durban Poison lineage, I’m only feeling the indica right now. Man, now it’s 7:27 and I’m still sitting here. It’s time to wrap this up. Gush Mintz is much stronger than I expected. This one is for hanging out and relaxing. This has been one of the most difficult reviews I’ve ever written. I need to take a shower.

These beautiful buds qualify as industrial hemp and comply with ALL provisions of the 2018 U.S. Farm Bill. There are 2 legal requirements that a product must meet to be legal hemp:

These flowers comply with both. Look at the attached COA and you’ll see the Delta 9 THC is less than .3%.

Here’s the cool part. The Delta 9 THCa can be over 30%. This is not chemically altered or sprayed with anything. These are legit cannabis buds that are harvested before the D9 THC gets ‘hot’ (over .3%). Delta 9 THC and Delta 9 THCa are very similar compounds. In fact, THCa is a precursor to THC. However, they are 100% different, so the Farm Bill counts this as hemp.
