Purple Gelonade Strain Info
This is a new batch received on June 15, 2024. Both the smell and appearance are different from the other batch we got. Oftentimes, harvests of the same strain can be different. This doesn’t usually happen when you get product from the same grower, using the same genetics, using the same growing conditions. However, the same strain usually will be different if you get it from different farms. This comes down genotypes, phenotypes, and growing conditions, which would be a good blog post one day.
Genetics: Sativa leaning hybrid that is a cross of Purple Punch and Gelonade. Gelonade is Gelato and Lemon Tree.
Appearance: This batch of Purple Gelonade is prettier than the last batch. This batch is lumpy, well developed buds. It’s bright green with just the right about of light purple. The buds are soft and sticky.
Smell: It smells so good. It’s sweet, fruity, citrusy.
Taste: This batch is still curing, so the flavors are still developing, but it’s already bright and citrusy.
Daniel’s 1-hit Review: I was expecting this Purple Gelonade to be like the first batch, but hoped it wouldn’t be too dry. The first batch of Purple Gelonade had a smell that was just like grape candy. However, it was too dry and shaky for me. This batch is much prettier. It’s not to dry. There’s no shake. The buds are grown better and it still smells great. I think this batch is much nicer than the first batch. The effects are a strong, clear, and productive sativa. It tastes better than PG1 because it’s not so dry.
One of my clients and I tested Purple Gelonade together while we were working. We got all of our work done with no slow downs or mistakes which means we have a high quality sativa on our hands. I really like this one. We only have 2 oz., so I don’t expect it to be around very long. I just took some out to look at it closely and my fingers smells so good while typing this.
26.28% THCA
This is one of the MOST EXCITING developments in the Legal Hemp Industry in years!
These beautiful buds qualify as industrial hemp and comply with ALL provisions of the 2018 U.S. Farm Bill. There are 2 legal requirements that a product must meet to be legal hemp:
1 . The cannabis plant must be grown under a Federal Hemp License.
2. The finished product must have less than .3% Delta-9 THC
These flowers comply with both. Look at the attached COA and you’ll see the Delta 9 THC is less than .3%.
Here’s the cool part. The Delta 9 THCa can be over 30%. This is not chemically altered or sprayed with anything. These are legit cannabis buds that are harvested before the D9 THC gets ‘hot’ (over .3%). Delta 9 THC and Delta 9 THCa are very similar compounds. In fact, THCa is a precursor to THC. However, they are 100% different, so the Farm Bill counts this as hemp.
Better Than Nine may not ship THCA flowers to jurisdictions where they are illegal. Please know your local ordinances before ordering or we may not be able to ship to you. Contact us if you have questions.
