Daniel’s 1-hit Review: June 2026 Batch of living soil. This is a live review.
While most places are lucky if they can find 1 source of legit Cap Junky, Better Than Nine has 2. Better yet – one is amazing hydroponic and the other is amazing living soil from 2 different artisan grows. This one is the living soil.
If you’re not familiar with ‘living soil’, we made a informational page linked above.
This Cap Junky came from a $1000 clone like it’s supposed to and grown by a biologist who’s expertise is soil. Yeah. It couldn’t be more perfect. Better Than Nine has offered Cap Junky for a few years, so I know this strain inside and out. I love having it available in different grow mediums by to professional growers because you can put them side by side and see it’s the same genetics, but also, the differences in grow methods.
This living soil Cap Junky is some of the stickiest flower I have ever had. It’s ungrindable IMO. I use little scissors because it’s so sticky that it’s hard to break it up with your fingers. It’s not wet, it’s sticky. It tastes very clean and distinct. It’s incredibly smooth for flowers this fresh and green. That’s one of the living soil benefits.
It hits fast and strong. I’m only about 6 minutes in and I’m already rubbing my eyes and face. It is 5:40pm after a night of bad sleep and a day I’ve been on the computer working since about 730am, so I was already tired. I’m definitely more relaxed, but not lazy. I love a good, strong hybrid. Of all the living soil flowers we just got, the Cap Junky is the prettiest. I don’t feel the need to say, “Don’t let the looks fool you…” like I did with Jealousy and Mountaintop Mint.
I don’t want to say Cap Junky is the best because they are all different, but I will say that Cap Junky genetics are some of the best. Capulator and Seed Junky created a masterpiece with this one.
I feel this Cap Junky mostly in my head and eyes. I’ve kinda blanked out and don’t know what I should talk about. I had fun writing that thing about living soil, but I don’t think I need to add anything about that. I’m still blown away that the only thing these living soil plants get is rain water. I’ve never grown ‘hemp’ in real soil. It’s always been hydroponic or inert media (like coco husk), which is basically hydroponic because you feed the plants when you water them.
I grow my tomatoes in soil, but I buy it. I usually get Miracle Grow. I’ll get Fox Farms if I’m feeling fancy, but those soils aren’t ‘living’. They have all the fertilizers in them, but they aren’t an ecosystem that is actively sustaining itself.
It’s so cool that these living soil flowers look, smell, and taste so different from what we’re used to, but their effects are just as strong. The first wave of the Cap Junky has passed and I’m starting to wake up now. I’m a huge fan of living soil flowers. It’s ironic that this is the original way to grow plants, yet it’s ‘new’ to us.
As yall start getting these living soil flowers, email and text us feedback. I’m so excited to have them and I know they are fire, but I want to hear yalls impressions of the overall experience with them.
Enjoy!
Note on product photos: We take the flower photos using our phone camera and white posterboard. What you see is what you get and most look better IRL than the photos. We don’t use filters, professional photography, pro lights, $5000 camera/lens, or stock photography.

This is one of the MOST EXCITING developments in the Legal Hemp Industry!
These beautiful buds qualify as industrial hemp and comply with ALL provisions of the 2018 U.S. Farm Bill. There are 2 legal requirements that a product must meet to be legal hemp:
1 . The cannabis plant must be grown under a Federal Hemp License.
2. The finished product must have less than .3% Delta-9 THC
These flowers comply with both. Look at the attached COA and you’ll see the Delta 9 THC is less than .3%.
Here’s the cool part. The Delta 9 THCa can be over 30%. This is not chemically altered or sprayed with anything. These are legit cannabis buds that are harvested before the D9 THC gets ‘hot’ (over .3%). Delta 9 THC and Delta 9 THCa are very similar compounds. In fact, THCa is a precursor to THC. However, they are 100% different, so the Farm Bill counts this as hemp.
Better Than Nine may not ship THCA flowers to jurisdictions where they are illegal. Please know your local ordinances before ordering or we may not be able to ship to you. Contact us if you have questions.
