Genetics: Scented Marker is another hit from Seed Junky. 50:50 Hybrid cross of Pineapple Fruz x Permanent Marker.

Appearance: Round, sticky buds that are light and dark green with hints of purple. So Sticky amber trichomes.

Smell: Starts of sweet like caramel or butterscotch, then gets fruity and gassy.

Taste: Light sweet fruit with a diesel finish.

I’m at a point where I’m ready to say that Seed Junky is the one of the top breeders of all time. It’s impossible to compare greats that come from different generations, like Bobby Jones vs Tiger Woods, because technology, nutrition, legal landscape (in context to hemp), and intangibles like creating an entire ‘thing’. To me, the Bobby Jones of cannabis would be Shantibaba, aka Scott Blakely. Go read about him – fascinating story. If Scott Blakely is Bobby Jones, then Seed Junky’s JBreezy is Tiger Woods. Please know I’m not taking anything away from the other great modern breeders like Capulator or the legendary Dutch Breeders who started it all like DJ Short, Dutch Passion, Sensi Seeds, and Green House Seed Company.

Here’s just some of Seed Junky’s strains – Permanent Marker, Scented Marker, Cap Junky (collab with Capulator), Jealousy, Ice Cream Cake, Kush Mints, Soap, and Push Pops. His strains have won just about every cannabis accolade that exists.

You guys will appreciate the colors, smells, tastes, and potency that Seed Junky genetics have. Growers appreciate how stable the genetics are. Our living soil grown Scented Marker is no exception. It is SO STICKY that it sizzles when you burn it. And I want to emphasize that this sizzle if from sticky and not wet. I bet you could chew a bud like bubblegum and it will leave your teeth sticky with a resin coating. I know this because I was chewing on a stem earlier today and it made my molars sticky and taste like Scented Marker.

Like all these new living soil flowers, Scented Marker smells amazing. I smell caramel or butterscotch when I first open the jar, then gets fruity. The smoke is thick, but so smooth, tasty, and satisfying. I tend to cough pretty easily and none of the living soils even tickly my cough reflex. (FYI – I take small, manageable, hits as rule, so don’t get carried away if I say it’s ‘cough proof’).

True to form for living soil, the taste is complex, pure, and distinct. Top tier genetics grown by a pro in living soil is just as new to me as it is to yall. If you read my experience on our Living Soil Info page, you saw the first and last time I tried this type of flower was in Santa Cruz in 2014 and I don’t really remember that very well. I actually got pulled over that day for violating California’s hands free law because I was trying to find the closest place with a bathroom because I was about this shit in my pants. The cop was cool, tho. He let me go into the bushes and explode behind a redwood tree before writing me a hands free ticket. He also didn’t care that I had 10 pounds of flower with me, but only paperwork to be carrying 3. He also had a roll of toilet paper he let borrow.

Looking back, that’s a crazy story from a Georgian perspective. I got pulled over for holding my phone while driving, took a crap on a 200 year old tree while the cop was waiting, had the officer give me toilet paper, verified my prop 215 paperwork, saw that I had 7 pounds more than I was supposed to, but only write me a ticket for the hands free violation. I had paperwork at my office to legally possess around 96 pounds at once, but didn’t have it with me, so I wasn’t really breaking the law. I showed him that I owned a patient collective and told him that I could have my attorney email him the paperwork to show that 10 pounds wasn’t a big deal and he said, “I believe you and I don’t really care how much cannabis you have. I care about yours and other drivers’ safety. Distracted driving kills people. Pot doesn’t.”

What a crazy concept, right? The policeman was more concerned about public safety, than ruining people’s lives because they’re in possession and safe, non-toxic, medically significant plant.

I love Georgia because it’s home, but I LOATHE Georgia’s policy on cannabis and hemp. Our state’s policies on hemp and cannabis are shameful and unconstitutional. When it’s time to vote in November, I implore yall to abandon identity politics that are meant to divide us and throw the blind partisanship in the toilet and vote for candidates that support hemp and cannabis legalization. And NOT the Georgia’s current version of ‘legalization’ which is “You can buy overpriced, basic quality cannabis from one of the 6 companies that are owned by our friends that bribed us the most to be part of a state sanctioned 6 opoly.” BTW – 3 of the GA licensees have owners that were elected officials who fought for decades to keep cannabis illegal to ‘protect children’ and ‘public safety’, but amazingly, once they could get richer from cannabis, it stopped being so bad. Kinda like a senator who is trying to pass laws against gay marriage because that’s an abomination against God, but then ‘evolves’ his position when his son comes out gay.

I hate hypocrites.

I love Scented Marker. This a perfect hybrid. I’ve sat here contently writing for over an hour and haven’t gotten bored, moved, or lost my train of thought. We all know how hybrids do both indica and sativa stuff. Scented Marker has made me physically calm, but mentally focused. It lasts a long time and is motivating. I wasn’t planning on writing this review right now and I did.

These beautiful buds qualify as industrial hemp and comply with ALL provisions of the 2018 U.S. Farm Bill. There are 2 legal requirements that a product must meet to be legal hemp:

1 . The cannabis plant must be grown under a Federal Hemp License.

2. The finished product must have less than .3% Delta-9 THC

These flowers comply with both. Look at the attached COA and you’ll see the Delta 9 THC is less than .3%.

Here’s the cool part. The Delta 9 THCa can be over 30%. This is not chemically altered or sprayed with anything. These are legit cannabis buds that are harvested before the D9 THC gets ‘hot’ (over .3%). Delta 9 THC and Delta 9 THCa are very similar compounds. In fact, THCa is a precursor to THC. However, they are 100% different, so the Farm Bill counts this as hemp.
